Closing a joint account
You can easily close a joint account via the ABN AMRO app or Internet Banking. The account can be closed by any one of the account holders. You can choose to either close the account entirely or transfer the account number to one of the account holders.
Transferring a joint account to one account holder
Would you or the other account holder like to keep the current account number of the joint account? The account holder wishing to be removed from the account can easily relinquish their access online by filling out the form. Once completed, the departing account holder will lose access to the account and bank cards.
