You can transfer money in different ways. For example, you can transfer an amount from your current account to your savings account. You can also choose to immediately pay for your online purchases. View the options.

Transferring money

You can transfer money anywhere in the world. You can set up standing orders for recurring payments. You can make urgent transfers. In the SEPA area, money is transferred to the beneficiary's International Bank Account Number, or IBAN.

Direct debit

With a direct debit, you authorize a company or institution to debit a recurring or non-recurring amount from your current amount. For example, the premium for your health care insurance.


Pay for your online purchases from Dutch web shops with iDEAL. The owed amount is immediately transferred through Internet Banking. The web shop has already completed the payment form for you; all you have to do is agree.


FiNBOX enables you to receive and pay electronic invoices. FiNBOX is part of Internet Banking.

Frequently asked questions

  • What does IBAN stand for?

    IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number. IBAN is replacing your 9-digit account number. For example, if your account number is 123456789, your new account number will be: NL02ABNA-123456789.

  • What are the terms of an urgent transfer?

    If you enter the payment before 4:30 p.m. and your account balance is sufficient, a domestic payment will be processed within 1.5 hours. If you enter an urgent transfer at the weekend for a beneficiary at a different bank, the payment will be processed on Monday morning before 8 a.m.

  • How much time do I have to change or cancel a standing order?

    You can change or cancel a standing order up to the day on which it is to be executed. You cannot change or cancel it on the day that it is executed.

  • How can I transfer money securely to a foreign country?

    Our priority is to guarantee that you do your banking in a secure environment. But we can't do it all by ourselves; we need your help. Which is why you need to set up a payment profile. You can switch off the option 'Foreign transfers' permanently or for a certain period. Read more about setting up your payments profile.
