Forgotten your PIN
Have you forgotten your PIN? It can happen to anyone. Mostly you can resolve it yourself. There are three ways to do this.
Request your PIN in the app
You can request your PIN in the app.
- Log in to the app and select 'Cards' in the product overview.
- Select the right debit card.
- Tap on 'PIN Request'.
- Tap 'Request PIN'.
You will receive your PIN by post within 3 to 5 working days.
Please note: have you changed your PIN yourself? In that case you cannot request it in the app. Please contact us.
You have the ABN AMRO app
- Call us from the ABN AMRO app.
- Since you're already logged in, we can see right away who you are. One of our employees will check whether we can send you your PIN again or whether you need a replacement debit card with a new PIN.
- You will receive your PIN or replacement debit card by post within 3 to 5 working days.
Call us
- Grab your valid ID.
- Call us. For security reasons, we first have to be sure that we know who you are. You will therefore go through a number of security steps, which will take about 10 minutes. After that, one of our employees will check whether we can send you your PIN again or whether you need a replacement debit card with a new PIN.
- You will receive your PIN or replacement debit card by post within 3 to 5 working days.

While you are waiting for your new debit card to arrive, you might need to make payments or withdraw cash. You can also do your banking without a debit card in the following ways:
- If you have another account with a debit card, transfer money using the ABN AMRO app.
- You can withdraw cash using the ABN AMRO app. On this page, we will explain how.
- You can also pay in shops using Google Pay, Apple Pay or wearables.
