Damage caused by fire or nature

If your car has been damaged during a fire, storm or hailstorm, we hope that you and anyone else affected are ok. The damage will be covered if you have car insurance with Third-Party Liability + Limited cover or Third-Party Liability + Comprehensive cover. Submit your claim as soon as possible online.

Good to know

  • If you have a car insurance policy with Third-Party Liability + Limited cover or Third-Party Liability + Comprehensive cover, have the damage repaired by a Schadegarant repair shop near you. This means no excess and nothing to pay up front. 
  • There is only a €75 excess if the windscreen needs to be replaced.
  • There is always a repair shop from ABN AMRO’s network near you.
  • If you choose not to use the ABN AMRO Schade Service, you will pay an excess of €150.
  • Schadegarant will also provide you with a courtesy car.

How to submit your claim online

  1. Go to your personal ABN AMRO Verzekeringen environment. 
  2. You’ll now see your policies. Click ‘Claims’ at the top. 
  3. Click ‘Submit new claim’ and enter the date of the loss or damage. 
  4. Please answer all questions. If everything is correct, click ‘Send’. 
  5. Please upload the required information so that we can process your claim.

Claim-free years

A claim following a fire or natural disaster will not affect your claim-free years.
