Interest
- The current interest rate for Direct Savings is 1.25% for the balance class of €0 up to and including €500,000 and 1.45% for the balance class of €500,000 up to and including €1,000,000. No interest will be paid above the highest stated balance class.

Opening an account
- You can open a savings account, if you have an ABN AMRO current account.
- If you're already using ABN AMRO Internet Banking, you can easily open a Direct Savings account online.
Withdrawals
You can withdraw money from your Direct Savings account whenever you want and free of charge. Simply transfer the amount you need to your ABN AMRO current account using our Mobile Banking app or Internet Banking.
Closing the account
You can always close your Direct Savings account at no cost. Read more about closing a savings account.
Dutch Deposit Guarantee
Our money is protected by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee.
Your money held in accounts at ABN AMRO Bank is legally protected by the Dutch Deposit Guarantee, from 1 cent to €100,000. This protection applies per person and applies to the total amount that you have in your accounts at ABN AMRO Bank. You do not have to do anything for this.
