The ABN AMRO app is reliable. Logging into Internet Banking with your telephone? This is just as secure as with your e.dentifier. Only you can log into the app, as you set your own personal code. We update the ABN AMRO app's security every two weeks.

Set up a payment alert

Want to stay on top of your balance? Set up free payment alerts to receive a notification when an amount is debited from or credited to your account. You will find out straight away if your balance changes.

Change your limit

Want to be able to withdraw more money or make larger card payments temporarily? You can arrange this securely in the ABN AMRO app in a few simple steps, even if you're already in the shop. Once you've done paid, you can immediately lower your limit again.

Block or unblock your debit card

Lost your debit card? You can block and unblock your card in the ABN AMRO app in a few simple steps. You might want to unblock your card if you entered the wrong PIN number three times in a shop.

If you have an ABN AMRO current account and Internet Banking, you can use the ABN AMRO app.

Costs

  • Downloading and using the ABN AMRO app is entirely free of charge.
  • You will need internet access to use the app. Your mobile service provider may charge you for using mobile internet.
Security

  • Device registration is a mandatory security measure for our app. It allows us to identify you by the device you are using to do your banking as well as by your identification code. You can only use the app if all of these details are correct.
  • The first time you use the ABN AMRO app, you will be asked to create an identification code. This will be the personal code you use to log in and transfer money. If you stay within your   you will not need the e.dentifier. Find out more about transferring funds without the e.dentifier.
  • If your device supports Touch ID or fingerprint, you can use these features to log in and transfer money within your daily limit. Your fingerprint will then be used instead of your identification code. Find out more about your fingerprint and the ABN AMRO app.
  • A jailbroken or rooted device allows installation of apps that have not been verified by the official app stores. These kinds of apps can do damage to your device or other apps. We consider this highly unsecure for the ABN AMRO app. Therefore, the ABN AMRO app is no longer supported on jailbroken or rooted devices. Some of the app features (such as fingerprint) will be disabled on these kinds of devices.
  • We do our utmost to ensure our customers can do their banking securely. But it is equally important for you yourself to be aware of how to use your device and your details securely. Read our secure Mobile Banking tips.
  • What if you lose your phone? It can happen to anybody. Just make sure all your details are secure now, so that you are prepared if it ever happens. One option is to enable anti-theft protection.  Find out how to set your phone and what else you can do.

  • Confirm using your debit card and e.dentifier

Stop using Mobile Banking 
  • Uninstall the app from your smartphone or tablet.
  • Sign out in Internet Banking. You will need your e.dentifier to do so.
