When are the phone lines open?
You can reach us by telephone from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. We are closed on public holidays and at the weekend, but you can put your question to our chatbot Anna. She can help with many banking matters day or night and may have the answer to your question.
Can I also make calls from the app from abroad?
No, unfortunately you can’t. You can, of course, call us from abroad in the normal way. See the list of phone numbers.
How long can the waiting time be?
Once you’ve chosen a topic, you’ll see the estimated waiting time. Please note that this is just that: an estimate.
Don’t want to wait? You can chat with our chatbot Anna 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If she can’t help you, a staff member will take over the conversation.
What if I can’t log in?
The app’s home screen features a number of tips to help with this, which you can read without logging in:
- Open the app.
- Tap the icon with the question mark in the upper-right corner.
- Under ‘Help’, tap ‘I can’t log in’.
- You’ll find a few tips there.
- If that doesn’t work, chat with us or call us in the normal way.

This ensures continuous protection for your data. And because you don’t have to dial a number, you can’t make a mistake. This way you can be sure it’s us you’re in contact with. And because you’re logged in when you call us, we know for sure that we’re talking to you. That’s good to know!

Scan the code and call us directly from the app
Here’s how to do that:
- Open the ABN AMRO app.
- Tap the QR scanner in the upper-left corner.
- Point your phone’s camera at the QR code. If that doesn’t work, move the camera a bit closer or farther away.
- Follow the steps on your phone.
- Log in and choose the topic you’re calling about.
- You’ll see the estimated waiting time. Then tap ‘Call us’.
How safe is it to use the QR code to call?
You scan our QR codes with the ABN AMRO app. If a code isn’t right or wasn’t created by us, the app won’t read it. That’s reassuring!
