Logging in using the security key

If you don’t have a smartphone, or you’d prefer not to use it to do your banking, the security key lets you log in to Internet Banking securely on your computer.  

The security key is extremely secure, as it ensures that you are the only person with access. Without the security key, nobody can log in to Internet Banking, even if they have your PIN. The security key doesn’t store personal information or passwords. So if someone finds or steals your security key, it will be of no use to them.

No, you mustn’t share your security key with anyone else. It’s linked to you personally and acts as a unique access key to your banking. Keeping your security key for yourself stops other people from accessing your banking details.

No, nobody can access your banking, even if you lose your security key. The security key doesn’t store personal information or passwords. It doesn’t work without your PIN, which you also need to log in. But if you do lose your security key, block it quickly so that nobody else can use it.

In Internet Banking, you can go to Profile > Security to see which email address you confirmed earlier. You can also change your email address there. 

You use the email address for your profile when you log in with the security key. You also use it if you want to block your security key in case it is lost or stolen.
