No, you don’t need a smartphone to register the security key. Neither do you need a smartphone to log in to Internet Banking using the security key. Once you’ve logged in, you can carry on banking on your computer in the usual way.

Do I need an e.dentifier to register the security key?

Yes, you need an e.dentifier to register the security key. It is important that you keep the e.dentifier. In some cases, you may still need it later. We will inform you when the e.dentifier is no longer required.

The security key is for clients with a personal account who only use the e.dentifier for Internet Banking. If this applies to you, you will receive a personal invitation from us between June 2026 and December 2026. Until then, you can continue using the e.dentifier as you normally do.
