Make the log in box for Internet Banking visible

The log on button for Internet Banking is missing

Would you like to log in to Internet Banking but don't see a 'log on' button? This may be due to the settings in Internet Explorer. ActiveX is probably not enabled. ActiveX is a technology that is used, for example, for animation, to play videos, and to display certain types of files. The below explains how to enable ActiveX in your version of Internet Explorer.

To find out which version of Internet Explorer you have, click on 'Help' in the menu bar and then on 'About Internet Explorer'.

Internet Explorer 7 en 8
  • Open Internet Explorer.

  • Click on 'Tools'.

  • Click on 'Internet Options'.

  • Click on the 'Security' tab.

  • Click on 'Internet' and then on 'Custom level.'

  • Click on 'Enable' for 'ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting' and 'Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins'.

  • Click on 'OK'.

  • Click on 'Apply'.

  • Press 'F5' to refresh the screen.

Internet Explorer 9, 10 en 11
  • Open Internet Explorer.

  • Go to https://www.abnamro.nl

  • Click on the blue symbol in the address bar.

  • Click the 'Disable ActiveX Filtering'.

  • The page is automatically refreshed and the log in box visible.
