You can easily set up a new credit transfer online using Internet Banking or the ABN AMRO app. Take a look at the step-by-step guide to find out how.
Transferring funds using Internet Banking

- Log in.
- Click the yellow ‘New transfer’ button.
- Enter the amount and the recipient.
- For an invoice, enter the payment reference.
- Enter a short description and click ‘Proceed’.
- View the summary and select 'Send now'.
- Confirm the credit transfer.
Transferring funds using the ABN AMRO app

- Log in.
- Press the green ‘Transfer’ button.
- Enter the amount and the recipient.
- For an invoice, enter the payment reference.
- Enter a short description and press 'Next'.
- View the summary and press 'Next'.
- Enter your identification code and submit the credit transfer.
If you are paying an invoice, please enter the payment reference. The recipient will then be able to process your payment much quicker.

How do I transfer funds to a ‘giro’ number?
Charities sometimes communicate their ‘giro’ number. First, get the right account number (IBAN). You can usually find it at the charity’s website. Then, when creating the credit transfer, you enter the account number (IBAN).
When will the money be in the recipient’s account?
Check the summary of the credit transfer for ‘With the recipient’. There you can see when the money will reach the recipient’s account. Or view the processing times for payments.
