At ABN AMRO, we understand that no two holidays are exactly the same, which is why our annual travel insurance lets you easily design the policy that is right for you. You can choose between the European cover or the Worldwide cover and choose additional cover on top of the comprehensive basic cover, and if you already have annual travel insurance, you can add the additional cover right away.
Medical costs
If you do not take out this cover, your health insurer will only cover the amount you would have to pay if you were treated in the Netherlands. You will need to pay any other costs yourself, and these costs can soon spiral if you’re not insured.
If you take out additional cover for cancellation costs, you will be covered worldwide in the event that you need to cancel your trip or return home early, for example, if you are involved in a serious accident, you become seriously ill or you lose your job. You can opt for cover up to €1,500 or €3,000 per person.
24/7 assistance if your car breaks down within Europe. This covers your own car and situations where the driver is no longer able to drive. Costs of emergency repairs, towing your vehicle, replacement transport or bringing your car back to the Netherlands are all covered.
As standard, your trips are covered for up to 90 consecutive days. If you’re going to be away for longer, our extended trip cover insures you for up to a maximum of 365 consecutive days. That’s useful if you’re planning a trip round the world!
If you visit a business partner or attend a trade fair or conference, be sure to take out our business trip cover. This will also cover you for any losses or damage incurred during a business trip. Internships abroad are already covered under the basic cover.
The winter sports cover insures you in the event of accidents, as well as for damage to or theft of your ski or snowboarding equipment, rental costs for ski or snowboarding equipment in the event of damage or theft and any prepaid costs for lessons and ski passes.
