Basic annual travel insurance covers you for 90 consecutive days. If you want to travel for longer than this, our Extended Trip cover option means that you are insured for 365 consecutive days. Useful if you’re planning a trip around the world.
What is covered and what is not?
You are insured for things such as:
- Travelling for more than 90 consecutive days
- Internships or studying abroad
- Also extends your additional cover options
You are not insured for things such as:
- Loss or damage caused intentionally
- Damage caused while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication
- Damage due to a dangerous sport

In what type of situation would I need additional Extended Trip cover?
Our additional Extended Trip cover option is useful if you are travelling for more than 90 consecutive days, if you’re on a world trip, for instance, or studying abroad.
Will all my other additional cover options automatically be extended?
As soon as your Extended Trip cover is effected, all the additional cover options you took out with your annual travel insurance will be extended too. You do not have to do this separately.
How can I change the additional cover options for my travel insurance?
If you have annual travel insurance, you can change your additional cover options at any time. This means that you never pay too much and that you are properly insured for every type of trip.
