Debit card broken

Sometimes you may have problems using your card at an ATM. The card may be broken or not working properly, but the ATM may also be to blame. Sometimes it helps to remove the card and insert it again. Be sure to give the chip a good clean too, as dirt and grease can sometimes stop the ATM from being able to read the chip properly.

If your card no longer works at several ATMs, it is probably broken. Request a replacement in just 2 minutes so you can withdraw cash and make payments again.

In the ABN AMRO app

  1. Log in
  2. Select the card you wish to replace
  3. Tap ‘replace’
  4. Done! Receive your new card within 3 days
