Quarterly Savings
Earn bonus interest on your savings
Interest rate up to
- Always 0,75% basic interest
- 0.55% bonus interest, only on money that remains in your account until the end of the quarter
- Deposit and withdraw freely
- Open your account in just 3 minutes
An extra reward for dedicated savers
With Quarterly Savings, you earn bonus interest on top of the basic interest, provided you keep your money in the account until the end of the quarter. You also earn bonus interest on money you deposit during the quarter and leave in the account until the end. If you withdraw money during the quarter, you will earn only the basic interest on that amount for the period it was held in the account. As the basic interest rate is lower than the rate on Direct Savings, this account is ideal for anyone who plans to save for at least a full quarter but still wants the flexibility to access their money earlier if needed.

Key features
Extra interest
You earn 0.55% bonus interest on money that remains in your account until the end of the quarter. This also applies to additional deposits that you leave in the account until the end.
Always available
You can access your money at any time. However, if you withdraw money before the end of the quarter, you will only receive the lower basic interest on that amount. So only withdraw money if it's really necessary.
Your money is protected
Your money is automatically protected up to € 100,000 under the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

An example
If you keep € 10,000 in your account and leave this amount untouched for the entire quarter, you will earn:
• € 18.75 in basic interest (based on 0.75% per year, divided by 4), and
• € 13.75 in bonus interest (based on 0.55% per year, divided by 4)
If you make an additional deposit halfway through the quarter and leave it in your account until the end of the quarter, you'll earn both basic interest and bonus interest on that amount for the period it remains in your account. If you withdraw money before the end of the quarter, you'll only earn basic interest on the amount withdrawn.

How bonus interest works
You earn bonus interest on top of the basic interest. The bonus interest rate is calculated only on savings that remain in the account until the end of the quarter. If you make an additional deposit during the quarter and leave in the account until the end of the quarter, you will also earn bonus interest on that amount. Do you withdraw money before the end of the quarter? You will then earn only basic interest on the amount withdrawn for the period it was in your account. The basic interest rate is lower than the rate on Direct Savings, so only withdraw money earlier if absolutely necessary.
The Quarterly Savings bonus interest rate applies to the part of the balance that:
- In quarter 1, is in the account from 31 December of the previous year and remains there up to and including 30 March.
- In quarter 2, remains there from 31 March up to and including 29 June.
- In quarter 3, remains there from 30 June up to and including 29 September.
- In quarter 4, remains there from 30 September up to and including 30 December.
