The Investment Savings Account (Beleggers Spaarrekening) combines the best of two worlds: savings and investment. Investment orders can be placed using Internet Banking.

  • If the total balance on your current or savings account is in excess of € 500,000, you will need to pay negative interest. Read more about negative interest.
  • The current interest rate for the Investment Savings Account is  0.00% . Any interest due will be credited to your account on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December. The credit will be shown on your account statement from the second working day of the following quarter. The interest rate is not fixed and can be changed at any moment. Find out more about interest rates.

Debit interest

Overdrafts are not permitted on your Investment Savings Account (Beleggers Spaarrekening). If you do go overdrawn, you will pay interest. We charge the same amount of interest as we would if your current account were overdrawn.

If you are using your securities-based loan, you will pay interest on your loan every quarter in arrears. The interest you pay is the ABN AMRO Euro Base Rate plus a surcharge.

Opening an account

Withdrawals

You can withdraw money as follows:

  • Transfer an amount from your savings account to your current account. You can do so free of charge. Simply use Internet Banking or call our Investment Line on: 0900 - 92 15 (standard call charges apply).
  • To make investments, use Internet Banking or call the Investment Line on: 0900 - 92 15 (standard call charges apply).
Closing the account
You can close your Investment Savings Account at any time. Simply call us on 0900 - 81 70 (standard call charges apply). If you are calling from outside the Netherlands, please dial +31 10 - 241 17 23.
Are my savings safe?
The Investment Savings Account (Beleggers Spaarrekening) is an ABN AMRO Bank N.V. banking product. ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is covered by the deposit insurance scheme, which means that any savings you have deposited with ABN AMRO Bank, ABN AMRO MeesPierson and MoneYou are consolidated. Find out more or call 0900 - 81 70 (standard call charges apply). If you are calling from outside the Netherlands, please dial +31 10 - 241 17 23.
Terms and conditions

In the event of any disparity between the Dutch original and the translation, the Dutch intro will prevail.
