Opening an investment account
The basis of your investments

- Keep track of your investments at all times
- Buy and sell online
- Quick and easy to request
- Also possible with a joint account
What is an investment account?
An investment account is a separate account that you use for your shares, investment funds and other investment products. When you start investing, you choose one of our investment types. We then automatically open an investment account for you. You link this investment account to an existing current account or to your new Beleggers Spaarrekening. The fees that you pay depend on the investment type you choose. You’ll find more details on the fee sheet.
Knowledge and experience
When you open an investment account, we’ll ask you a few questions about your knowledge and experience of investing. We use this information to assess whether the investment products you intend to invest in are a good fit for you. You’ll find more information about this on our page on knowledge and experience.
Investing with a joint account
You can invest with us using a joint investment account by requesting an investment type through your joint current account. We’ll then automatically open a joint investment account. Both joint account holders will be able to access, view, buy and sell the investments.
Keep track with the ABN AMRO app
