If you have an ABN AMRO savings account, you can transfer your savings to your ABN AMRO current account. Tip: do this immediately after the interest has been credited to your savings account.
If you have a Kinderbonus savings account or a Spaar Deposito savings deposit, you cannot close these accounts yourself. We will do this for you.
If you have another savings account, you can close this yourself. If you do not, we will close the account after 6 months of the date stated on the first letter you receive from us.
KinderBonus savings account
We will close your child's KinderBonus savings account within seven months of the date stated on the first letter you receive from us.
The bonus interest will be paid in a single lump sum. This is the 5% bonus interest your child would receive at the age of 5, 10, 15 or 18. This interest is calculated based on the savings accrued in the period between the previous bonus payout and the date stated on the letter. Any money deposited in the savings account after this date will not count towards the bonus interest.
The total amount, i.e. the balance, the accrued interest and the bonus interest, will be transferred to the current account to which the savings account is linked. You can check that this is the correct current account in Internet Banking and, if necessary, you can change the account within 5 months .
