How to upgrade to Gold Card
Log in to Creditcard Online
Log in bij icscards.nl, en ga rechtsboven via ‘Creditcard Online’ naar ‘Gegevens en instellingen’.
Go to 'Upgrade card'
And follow the steps to upgrade your ABN AMRO Credit Card to a Gold Card.
Your Gold Card upgrade application has been submitted
Once your application has been processed, you can apply for an additional credit card through Creditcard Online.
Difference between the Gold Card and ABN AMRO Credit Card
The Gold Card provides more extensive protection and insurance than with our regular credit card. You get the following extra coverage:
- 365-day insurance for your purchases (instead of the standard 180 days)
- Car rental excess insurance up to €500
- Delivery guarantee
Your purchases insured for 365 days
With a Gold Card, your purchases are insured against damage, theft and loss for 365 days, whether you shop online or in store. You also get a delivery guarantee for all the purchases you make with your Gold Card. That's a nice extra!
What protection does my Gold Card give me?
You are insured for things such as:
- Delayed flights
- Delayed luggage
- Theft, loss or damage to your purchases
- Delivery guarantee
- Travel accident and emergency insurance
- Car rental excess
You are not insured for things such as:
- Trip cancellation
- Stolen luggage
- Travel and accommodation not booked using your Gold Card
- Damage or loss caused deliberately or through carelessness

Purchase protection
Nearly all purchases you make with your Gold Card are insured against theft, loss and damage for 365 days, whether you made the purchase online or in the shop.
Delivery guarantee
Your money is refunded if your order is not delivered or is sent to the wrong address.
Flight delay insurance
Did you book a trip with your Gold Card? And is your flight delayed by more than 8 hours? If so, you may receive compensation for extra costs, up to €150 per insured person per event. This compensation covers the additional costs you incur, such as a hotel stay or a meal.
Luggage delay insurance
Has your baggage not arrived when you reach your destination? If your luggage is delayed by at least 8 hours, you will receive up to €125 per insured person per day, up to a maximum of €1,000 per trip.
Car rental excess insurance
The excess for your rental car is insured up to €500 if you book it using your Gold Card. This is applicable to damages caused by theft or storm, for example.
Emergency Assistance Insurance
You can receive assistance in the event of an accident or death of an insured person during the trip.
