How it works
If you click a link from a fraudster, your computer may be infected with a virus (also known as malware). This will give the fraudsters access to your bank accounts and your money. They will then be able to transfer money from your current account to their own accounts, for example.
Current example: SMS scams
Scammers pretend to be a parcel delivery company and send text messages containing a link. They ask you to install an app that supposedly tracks the delivery of your parcel. This app is not in any official app store. If you download the app, you install malware. This way, you give the scammers access to e.g. your banking apps and your contacts. The scammers send the same text message to everyone in your contact list. Have you installed the malware on your phone? Please let us know, and we will help you. Also set your device back to factory settings as soon as possible.
