What you need when taking out a mortgage

This is the final step in taking out your mortgage. Your mortgage application has been approved. Next, you go to the notary, sign the deed and receive the keys to your new home. Find out what documents to bring.
Personal data
- A valid passport, a valid ID card (driving licence is not accepted as proof of ID) or a valid residence permit together with a valid passport.
- Details of your marital status: Marital conditions (also for registered partners with conditions).
Purchase agreement
- A signed copy of the purchase deed.

Taking out a mortgage is a 3-phase process. Before you can take out a mortgage, you will generally be invited to two consultations, an orientation consultation and a mortgage advice consultation.
