Points of attention for supplying documents

Your request processed quickly

You want to send us the documents for your loan application. It is important to deliver your documents properly. This way we can process your request as quickly as possible.

Important tips for sending your documents

Follow these steps when you send us your documents: 

  • Make a clear digital copy of each document. You can use one of these file types: PDF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG. 
  • Make sure the copy includes all pages of the document. 
  • Please don’t cross out or hide any information. 
  • Double-check that all the details are correct. 
  • Keep a copy for your own records, just in case. 

Extra tips for soms documents

Some documents need a bit more attention. Check these extra tips, so your request doesn’t get delayed.  

Most common documents

Bank statement

We require a bank statement from you to assess whether you can repay the loan. For privacy reasons, we cannot search for or request this information from your bank ourselves.

What we need from you:

  • A recent bank statement
  • No older than 2 months
  • At least 1 continuous month
  • In PDF format
  • Downloaded via Internet Banking. Screenshots, mutations or app summaries are not valid.

This should include:

  • Your name, address, and city
  • Your IBAN
  • Credit of your income
  • Debit for your housing costs (rent, mortgage, or board)
  • Other fixed expenses, if applicable, such as:
    • Life insurance
    • Maintenance payments
    • DUO

Do you have multiple accounts?
Please send a statement from each account showing relevant expenses.

Are you applying jointly?
Provide statements from both your personal and joint accounts.

Applying for the loan in February?
Include your December bank statement as well. Housing costs for January are often debited at the end of December.

Credit Agreement

  • Make sure both you and any co-applicant sign the agreement using a blue pen 
  • Also sign the Direct Debit mandate
  • Don't forget to fill in the signing date 

Identity document

  • Make a digital copy of one of the following documents:
    • A valid passport
    • A valid ID card or Dutch residence permit (not a driver’s license)
  • Always upload both the front and back of your ID.
  • Check if your Citizen Service Number (BSN) is visible:
    • Your BSN is often on the back of your ID card or passport
    • Can’t find your BSN there? You can also find it on your driver’s license, a BRP extract, DUO, or MijnOverheid
    • Please upload this document together with your ID

Direct Debit Mandate

  • This authorization allows ABN AMRO Kredieten BV to deduct the monthly payment for your personal loan from your bank account. 
  • You’ll find this authorization form in the email you received right after submitting your online application. 
  • Please sign the Direct Debit Mandate using a blue pen. 

Payslip

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your most recent payslip
  • The payslip must be no older than 2 months
  • Make sure it clearly shows your details and your employer's details 

Documents for transferring a loan

Current Loan Statement Revolving Credit

  • Make a digital copy of the most recent statement of your revolving credit(s) to be repaid. 
  • The document should show:  your name, the lender’s name, the contract number, the outstanding balance, and a date.  
  • You can usually find this in the online portal of your lender or in your bank’s Banking app. 

Balance Statement Personal Loan

  • Make a digital copy of the balance statement or repayment note for your personal loan(s). 
  • The document must be no older than 1 month. 
  • Make sure it includes: Your name, the date, the contract number, the lender’s name, the amount you still need to repay. 
  • You can usually find this in the online portal of your lender or in your bank’s Banking app. 

Payment statement

The payment statement shows which loan(s) we need to repay for you.

  • Please upload a digital copy (pdf) of your payment statement
  • Fill in the form completely
  • Sign the statement using a blue pen
  • Make sure the total amount is not higher than de loan amount you applied for

Termination letter

For the loans you want to cancel with other lenders, we need a completed termination letter. Each loan or credit must have its own completed letter.

  • Please upload a digital copy (pdf) of your completed termination letter(s)
  • Make sure the lender's address is included
  • The letter(s) must be signed by all applicants of the new loan
  • The contract number of the existing loan must be included

Other documents

Employment agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your employment agreement
  • Make sure your details and those of your employer are stated
  • Make sure the agreement is signed by you and your employer

Income tax assessment

  • Make a digital copy (PDF) of your complete income tax return (aangifte inkomstenbelasting) for the last 2 available calendar years.  
  • Make sure no information is missing or crossed out.  
  • The return must have been submitted to the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst) — a draft or estimate is not sufficient. 
 

Income tax return

  • Make a digital copy (PDF) of your tax assessment (aanslag inkomstenbelasting) for the last 2 calendar years.
  • Make sure no information is missing or crossed out.  
  • Send the final income tax assessment for the first year.  
  • Haven’t received the final assessment for the second year yet? Then send your provisional assessment instead. 

Proof of repayment

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the proof of repayment for any loans that you took out in the past and have since repaid in full
  • Make sure that on each proof of payment the name, address and place of residence of the account holder is stated
  • Make sure that the name of the lender is stated

Completion statement form civil law notary

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the civil-law notaries final completion statement. 
    This document shows that the loans have been or will be repaid through your mortgage

Divorce agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the divorce agreement
  • You can request this form your former lawyer, your mediator, the court, or the divorce register
  • Do you also have a parenting plan? Please include that as well

Tenancy agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your most recent tenancy agreement
  • Make sure that the name of the landlord is stated
  • Make sure that your name, address and the amount of rent is stated

Prenuptial/postnuptial agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the notarial deed containing your prenuptial/postnuptial agreement

Mortgage deed

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your mortgage deed
  • Has your deed not been signed yet? Then send us the signed mortgage offer 

Mortgage offer

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your complete and signed mortgage offer
  • Make sure it includes the new monthly payment amount

Letter of intent

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the letter of intent
  • Make sure the intent is not older than 2 months
  • Make sure the signature of your employer is stated
  • Make sure it has a company stamp on it

Annual figures

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the letter of intent
  • Make sure the intent is not older than 2 months
  • Make sure the signature of your employer is stated
  • Make sure it has a company stamp on it

Partnership agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the notarial deed containing your partnership agreement

Pension statement

  • This is a document that shows the pension you are currently receiving
  • Your name, address, and city of residence must be clearly stated
  • If you receive this proof every month, it must not be older than 2 months
  • If you don’t receive it monthly, please send the most recent version you have 

Future pension statement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your recent pension statement downloaded from MijnPensioenOverzicht.nl
  • Make sure your details are stated on the statement
  • Make sure the statement is not older than 2 months

Cohabitation agreement

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your cohabitation agreement

Permission Tax Facility

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the statement from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration that confirms that you make use of the 30% reimbursement ruling

Benefits statement

  • Please upload a digital copy of your most recent benefit statement.
  • Make sure the document includes: your full name, the amount of your benefit, the name of the organization providing the benefit
  • The benefit statement must be no older than 2 months

Extract from BRP ('Basis Registratie Personen')

  • Please make a digital copy of your most recent benefit statement
  • The document must show your name, the benefit amount, and the organization providing the benefit
  • The benefit statement must not be older than 2 months

UWV insurance statement

  • Send a digital version of the insurance statement from UWV. 
  • You can download this document from the UWV website: https://mijn.uwv.nl/ 
  • Make sure the document is certified. You’ll see a blue bar at the top of the digital document — this is the certification mark. 
  • If you print the document, the certification mark won’t be visible. We cannot accept printed versions. 

Residence permit

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your residence permit (front and back side)

Statement from collections agency

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your statement from the collection agency/court bailiff
  • Make sure the statement contains your details and those of the collection agency/court bailiff
  • Make sure the details of the creditor are stated
  • Make sure the outstanding balance is on the statement
  • Make sure the statement is not be older than 2 months

Employers statement concering sick leave

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the statement from your employer confirming that you have resumed your work in full
  • Make sure your name, address and place of residence are stated
  • Make sure the name, address and place of residence of your employer is stated
  • Make sure the statement has a company stamp on it

Statement housing cost

  • Make a digital copy of the proof that you have no housing costs.  
  • This could be a statement from your mortgage provider confirming that your mortgage has been paid off, or a letter from your employer stating that they cover your housing costs. 

Deed of sale home

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of the deed of sale of your previous home

Divorce order

  • Make a digital copy (pdf) of your divorce order, divorce agreement and parenting plan

Employer’s statement

  • Make a digital copy of your employer’s statement. You can request this from your employer.  
  • Make sure the statement is signed by your employer and includes your employer’s logo.  
  • The statement must not be older than 2 months.
