Paying with your phone

The Wallet for Android

  • Your smartphone as a debit card
  • Also works without an internet connection
  • Also for your child, with your permission

Contactless payments with the Wallet

If your smartphone is often closer to hand than your wallet or purse, use the ABN AMRO Wallet. This free app lets you make contactless payments, simply using your mobile phone. Wherever you can use your plastic debit card, you can also use the Wallet, even abroad.

How to use the Wallet for payments

Zet uw scherm aan

1. Turn on your screen

Making contactless payments with your mobile works in exactly the same way as with your debit card. Just make sure you turn on your mobile’s screen.

2. Hold your mobile up against the payment terminal

Hold the back of your mobile against the payment terminal. Wait for your mobile to vibrate and for the alert that tells you that your payment has been successful.

Gebruik uw Wallet-code bij aankopen boven de € 25

3. Use your Wallet code for purchases over €25

If you want to make a payment that exceeds €25, you will always be asked to enter your four-digit Wallet code.
