How to pay with your smartwatch
Pay cardless with Google Pay on your Wear OS-smartwatch in stores. Open the Google Pay app on your smartwatch and hold it near the card machine, with the screen of your watch facing the reader. Your smartwatch will make a sound or start to vibrate to let you know the transaction was successful.

What is Google Pay?
Google Pay is a payment method that allows you to make contactless payments using your Android phone. This method allows you to pay quickly and easily.
Who can use Google Pay?
You can use Google Pay if you are an account holder or authorized representative of an ABN AMRO business current account.
Google Pay isn't available yet for employees or accountants who have their own debit card.
Also, you have to be aged 16 or over. The age limit (16 years or older) for Google Pay in the Netherlands is set by Google.
What devices are compatible with Google Pay?
You can use Google Pay on the following devices:
- all Android phones running Android 7 or higher
- all smartwatches running Wear OS2 or higher
For payments, the phone or watch must support NFC (Near Field Communication). You can check whether your device supports NFC and whether NFC is enabled in the settings.
What do I need in order to activate Google Pay?
Before activating Google Pay, check to make sure you satisfy the following requirements:
- You are aged 16 or over
- You have an ABN AMRO business current account
- You have installed the latest version of the ABN AMRO app
- You have an Android device that is compatible with Google Pay
- Your Android device is running on Android 7 or higher
- Your Android device has NFC (Near Field Communication)
- You are logged in with your Google account on your phone
- Your phone’s region setting is ‘the Netherlands’
- You have registered a correct mobile telephone number with ABN AMRO
- You have an internet connection
How much does Google Pay cost?
There are no additional costs connected to activating or using Google Pay.
