Promotion terms and conditions

1. These promotion terms and conditions apply to ABN AMRO’s ‘Share your story’ promotion (referred to as ‘the promotion’ in the rest of these terms and conditions).
2. This promotion has been initiated by ABN AMRO, with its head office at Gustav Mahlerlaan 10 in Amsterdam (postcode 1082 PP).
3. The promotion is being held online at abnamro.nl/shareyourstory from 15 July 2025 to 29 September 2025 (referred to as ‘the promotion period’ in the rest of these terms and conditions). ABN AMRO reserves the right to change, extend or cancel the promotion at any time
4. Employees of ABN AMRO and persons seconded to ABN AMRO and other persons directly or indirectly involved in the organisation are excluded from participating in this promotion.
5. ABN AMRO reserves the right to cancel the promotion or change the promotion terms and conditions at any time without providing its reasons for doing so. A revised version of the promotion terms and conditions, including the date of amendment, will be posted at abnamro.nl/shareyourstory. Participants should check this web page regularly for changes.
6. During the promotion period, the winners, who will be selected randomly in a draw, will be notified by email. The available prizes are stated under the heading ‘Prizes’ in these promotion terms and conditions.
7. By taking part in this promotion, the participant agrees that ABN AMRO may contact them personally by email during the promotion period to announce whether they have won a prize.
8. ABN AMRO will at all times act in accordance with the provisions of the 2014 Dutch code of conduct for promotional games of chance (Gedragscode Promotionele Kansspelen 2014).
9. No correspondence will be entered into on any matters relating to either the results or these promotion terms and conditions.

You can take part in this promotion if you:

• are aged between 18 to 30. You can’t take part in this promotion if you are 30 years of age or older;
• have an official Dutch home address;
• have Dutch ID, a residence permit or an international passport;
• don’t yet bank with ABN AMRO;
• open a student account for yourself in the ABN AMRO app.

1. ABN AMRO is allocating total prize money of €2,500. Every week throughout the promotion period, three prizewinners will be awarded a maximum of €100 each. The promotion will end prematurely if there is not enough prize money to pay the next winner.
2. The winners will receive a confirmation email at the end of the promotion period.
3. The prize is personal and non-transferable and may not be exchanged for a different prize or for cash, a product or service.
4. ABN AMRO will pay any tax on games of chance payable.

1. This promotion is free to enter.
2. This promotion and prize draw is only open to current residents of the Netherlands aged 18 or older. If you are not yet 18 years old, you can only participate with the permission of your parent(s) or guardian(s). 
3. You can enter the promotion during one of the introduction days where ABN AMRO has a stand, or online at abnamro.nl/shareyourstory.
4. The promotion runs from 15 July 2025 to 29 September 2025.
5. Entering more than once will not increase a participant’s chance of winning.

1. ABN AMRO will choose three winners from all the entries every week. Entries will be judged on relatability (could this happen to me too?) and relevance (can other students learn from this?) If the bill is higher than €100, a maximum of €100 will be paid out.
2. A winner must respond to the email sent by ABN AMRO within 20 working days of the date of notification. If a winner fails to respond to the email within 20 working days, ABN AMRO is entitled to choose a new winner for that prize.
3. Once the promotion has finished, ABN AMRO will, on request, provide participants with a list of the prizes awarded. However, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation, ABN AMRO will not divulge the names and/or addresses of the prize winners to third parties.

To be eligible for one of the prizes, participants must  share their story at abnamro.nl/shareyourstory and leave their email address. Participants who fail to meet this condition will not qualify for a prize.

1. Participants who provide incorrect information about themselves are excluded from participation.
2. ABN AMRO reserves the right to exclude participants from the promotion at any time if it is of the opinion that the participant has violated one or more conditions of participation, has provided incorrect or incomplete information, or has acted in any other legally impermissible manner.
3. ABN AMRO takes the utmost care in organising its promotions and managing and administering its websites. Nevertheless, information displayed and/or provided might be incomplete or incorrect. ABN AMRO accepts no liability for errors or omissions of any nature whatsoever in material it publishes. Should any error or omission occur, this in no way creates an obligation on the part of ABN AMRO. ABN AMRO accepts no liability for lost entry forms and/or attachments or for the submission by a participant of incorrect or incomplete information.
4. ABN AMRO is not liable and/or responsible for costs incurred by the participant with regard to participation in the promotion or further use of the prize.

1. All personal data is kept in a file held by ABN AMRO. We collect this data to administer the promotion. 
2. Participants have the right to access and correct their personal information collected and/or processed by ABN AMRO. Participants also have the right to object to the use of their personal data for marketing purposes. 
3. All personal information relating to participants obtained in the context of the promotion will be treated in strict confidence and in accordance with applicable privacy legislation. 
4. All information collected in the context of this promotion is subject to ABN AMRO’s privacy terms and conditions, which can be found on abnamro.nl/bright-future, insofar as these do not deviate from the provisions of these promotion terms and conditions. ABN AMRO will use the information you provide when participating for the purposes of this promotion only. 
5. All information collected will be deleted as soon as the winner has been announced and the prize has been delivered.

This promotion and the promotion terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from these promotion terms and conditions and/or from the promotion will be heard in the first instance by the competent court in Amsterdam.
