For a payment to a bank in Oman, a Bank Identification Code (BIC) is required. This is also known as a SWIFT address (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication). This is automatically generated based on the IBAN provided.

• An IBAN in Oman is mandatory and consists of 23 characters. Do not use spaces, dashes, commas or slashes (/).  Example: OM81 0180 0000 0129 9123 456
• Enter the full name of the person receiving the money in the "Recipient Name" field. Do not use abbreviations.

These international transfers are subject to private transfer fees and business transfer fees. If you choose for the OUR option, the beneficiary will not be charged anything by their bank. ABN AMRO charges an OUR fee (PDF, 156 KB) for this.
