Digital communications about your insurance

Good choice!

If you currently still receive messages from ABN AMRO Verzekeringen by post, we can also send them online. That has many benefits and is easy to arrange. If you opt for digital, you’ll find all the messages about your insurance and documents online. Just log in and you’ll have everything at your fingertips!

Authorisation is simple

ABN AMRO Verzekeringen needs your authorisation to communicate with you digitally (instead of by post). Log in and click the authorisation button.

You could win a bol.com gift voucher worth €25!

Every 50th client who gives their permission before 26 May will receive a bol.com voucher worth €25. Read the promotion terms and conditions here.

Tip

Why choose digital communications?

  1. You’ll be more sustainable: no more letters and policies through the post. This saves a whole lot of paper.
  2. It’s easier for you to keep track. All the details of your non-life insurance policies in one place.
  3. You can view your documents wherever and whenever you like.

FAQs about digital communication

If there is a new message waiting for you, ABN AMRO Verzekeringen will notify you by email. The notification will tell you to log in to the personal ABN AMRO Verzekeringen environment to read the message. The content of the message is not shown in the email itself.

To access the personal ABN AMRO Verzekeringen environment, you must log in via Internet Banking. The personal environment is not yet available in the ABN AMRO app, so you will need to log in via an internet browser if you’re using a mobile phone.

When you opt for digital communication, you should receive an email notification if new information is available. If you don’t receive a notification but new information is available, there might be an issue with your email. Please check the following:

  • Has the message got into your spam box? If so, you can mark the message and/or sender as ‘safe’. Emails should then no longer be seen as spam.
  • Is your mailbox full? If so, you probably won’t be able to receive any more emails. Make sure that you have enough storage space to receive new emails.
  • Do we have the right email address for you? If the email address is wrong, you can easily update it yourself in Internet Banking.

ABN AMRO Verzekeringen usually notices if an email doesn’t reach the recipient. This may be due to one of the reasons given above. ABN AMRO Verzekeringen will automatically change your communication preference to ‘post’ to ensure you always receive relevant information about your insurance. If you’ve solved the problem with your email and want to reinstate full digital communication, the good news is: you can. Just change your communication preference in Internet Banking. Log in and follow these steps:

  1. Go to the heading ‘Zelf regelen’ {Self service] at the top of the page.
  2. Scroll down and click any of the insurances among your products.
  3. You’ll see the insurance overview. Select ‘Mijn verzekering’ [My insurance] on the right.
  4. Go to ‘Mijn gegevens’ [My details] at the top of the page.
  5. Scroll down and click ‘Wijzigen’ [Edit] in ‘Mijn contactvoorkeuren’ [My contact preferences].
  6. Under ‘Ontvangstwijze voor polisdocumenten’ [Delivery method for policy documents] and ‘Ontvangstwijze voor overige documenten’ [Delivery method for other documents], tick ‘Per e-mail’ [By email]. Then click ‘Opslaan’ [Save].

The personal environment gives you the following benefits:

  • You have 24/7 access to all the information relating to your insurance.
  • You can change or send notifications yourself, without help from us. If you’re having trouble, our staff are ready and waiting to help.
  • Shorter processing times, as our online processes are set up for efficiency.
  • If you stop receiving post from us, you’ll be saving paper and helping to create a sustainable world.

If you’re having problems and need help, or if you have a question, take a look at our contact page. You’ll find the answers to frequently asked questions and ways of getting in touch with us.
