Open a current account and receive €100
If you open a current account (Basic Payment Package) for yourself using the code ABN100 during the promotion period (July 1 to July 31, 2025), and switch from your current bank to ABN AMRO, you will receive a €100 gift. You earn this €100 as follows:
- Open an account with the promo code ABN100
- Activate your app and debit card, then request the Switching Service
- Once the Switching Service is in effect, you will receive confirmation that you will get €100
- Ensure the Switching Service is activated by August 15 at the latest
You will receive the money in your account on the day you pay your monthly bank fees. These fees will be deducted from your account. Sometimes, it might take an extra month due to processing time. We will deduct your monthly fees from this €100. As soon as the Switching Service is active, we will notify you that we will transfer the €100 as soon as possible. You will recognise the payment from our payment reference on your statement:

Who this promotion is for
You can take part in this promotion if you:
- are aged 18 or older;
- have an official Dutch home address;
- have a Dutch ID, a residence permit or an international passport;
- are not yet an ABN AMRO customer;
- open a current account for yourself in the ABN AMRO app (the promotion only applies to the Basic Payment Package).
Other important information
- You can only take advantage of this promotion once, i.e. you can only open one new current account in your name.
- ABN AMRO Bank N.V. reserves the right to amend the promotion terms and conditions or to cancel or extend the term of the promotion at any time, in which case an updated, amended version of the promotion terms and conditions will be posted on abnamro.nl.
- The promotion is an initiative of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. with registered offices in Amsterdam.
- This promotion is governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from this promotion will be heard in the first instance by the competent court in Amsterdam.
Exclusions
- If you enter incorrect personal data, you will be excluded from the promotion.
- ABN AMRO reserves the right to exclude participants from the promotion at any time if it is of the opinion that the participant has violated one or more conditions of participation, has provided incorrect or incomplete information, or has acted in any other legally impermissible manner.

How does the promotion work?
Here's how the promotion works:
- Download the app, open an account, and follow the on-screen steps.
- Enter ABN100 in the promo code field.
- Activate the ABN AMRO app after opening the account.
- Within a few days, you will receive an email with a link to the Switching Service.
- Request the Switching Service and Fill in your old bank's details in the online form.
- Confirm your request in the ABN AMRO app.
- Once the Switching Service is active, you will receive confirmation that the €100 is on its way to you.
Make sure the Switching Service is active by August 15, 2025. After this date, you will not qualify for the €100 welcome gift.
When will the money be paid into my account?

I forgot to enter the promotional code, what to do?
If you forgot to enter the promotional code during the application process, you will not be eligible for the welcome gift of €100.
I was declined for the Switching Service, or it was activated after August 15, 2025. What now?
If you were declined for the Switching Service, unfortunately, you will not be eligible for the €100 welcome gift.
If you successfully applied for the Switching Service but it only becomes active after August 15, 2025, unfortunately, you will not qualify for the €100 welcome gift.
