Blocking a direct debit

If you want to prevent a company from debiting your current account, simply use the red card to revoke your direct debit mandate. If your account is debited anyway, you can block the direct debit. Read on to find out how it works.

  1. Log in to Internet Banking
  2. Go to 'Settings'
  3. Go to 'Payments, withdrawals and transfers' and then 'Manage direct debit settings'
  4. Go to 'Payments and transfers' and then 'Manage direct debit settings'
  5. Go to 'Default direct debit setting' under 'Change direct debit settings' 
  6. Click the pencil
  7. Go to 'Change default setting for your account to' and tick the box
  8. Go to your Task list to send your order
