An ABN AMRO credit card

Our credit cards are issued by International Card Services (ICS), one of the largest credit card providers in the Netherlands and a fully-owned ABN AMRO subsidiary. Read more about what you need to apply for a credit card and about the application process.

Easy to have at hand

It is useful to have all your details at hand before applying for a credit card, so that your application can be processed quickly.

  • Payslip
  • Cost of living
  • Burgerservicenummer (BSN) (Dutch personal ID number)

How it works

  1. First log in using your e.dentifier. Then select the credit card of your choice and tell us how you want to pay your credit card bills

  2. Make sure to check your details during the application process. Complete your details if any are missing

  3. You will then be asked to tell us about your income, outgoings and your family situation. This allows us to determine whether you can shoulder the financial burden that comes with having a credit card

  4. After you submit your application, International Card Services (ICS) will send you an email that explains how to select your PIN

  5. We will forward your information to ICS securely. ICS will contact parties including the Dutch National Credit Register (Bureau Krediet Registratie, or BKR) to check your information. This check will take around 10 working days. In some cases, ICS asks for additional information

  6. Once you have chosen your PIN and ICS has approved your application, your credit card will be sent to your home address within 5 to 10 working days
