Changes to business banking fees and terms and conditions

As of 1 January 2026

On 1 January 2026 we will adjust some of our business banking fees and conditions. For example, next year the transaction fee for a direct debit will go from €0.12 to €0.13. Read on to find out about all of the changes.

Why are the fees changing?

We are continuously investing in security and digital services. This enables you to continue doing your business banking easily and securely. You will see part of these costs reflected in our new fees.

Product features and terms & conditions

We have updated the General Conditions ABN AMRO Bank NV (section ‘Client Relationship Conditions ABN AMRO’). And also the business payment and savings terms & conditions and information sheets. The most important changes are listed below:

  • The transaction limit for Business Internet Banking has been increased to €3,000,000.
  • The iDEAL payment limit has been increased to €50,000 per transaction instead of per day.
  • iDEAL payments will gradually transition to Wero over the course of 2026.
  • Part 2 of the General Terms and Conditions of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. has been revised and rewritten in simpler language. New articles have been added on combating money laundering, promoting sustainability, and force majeure. Furthermore, Internet Banking (with or without the app) has been set as a standard communication channel.

Transfer batches improved

Good news for everyone who sends credit transfer batches: for batches that you upload yourself via Internet Banking Business or Access Online Renewed, the individual transactions will be processed as instant payments. You can read all about it here. Additionally, you can check in advance whether the recipient's account number and name match. This ensures that your money will quickly reach the correct recipients.

Transaction fees for a Medical Account

At present, there is no fee payable for the first 500 online transactions for a Medical Account, and with any other business accounts in the same name. However, this discount is to be discontinued. As of 1 January 2026, clients with a Medical Account will pay the regular fee of €0.12 per outgoing transaction and €0.15 per incoming transaction.

Fees for checks and client due diligence (Know Your Client)

At present, an association or foundation pays a reduced monthly fee of €3 for our legally required fraud and money laundering checks. As of 1 January 2026, this will change to the regular monthly fee of €6.50. This fee only applies once per business type, even if you have multiple accounts with us.

SEPA Direct Debit fee

Do you have a SEPA Direct Debit contract with us that allows you to debit an amount from your customers’ accounts via bank authorisation? As of 1 January 2026, the fee per direct debit will go up from €0.12 to €0.13. The fee for a direct debit taken from your account will also go up from €0.12 to €0.13. The fee for your SEPA Direct Debit contract remains unchanged.

Trade Finance fees

From 1 January 2026, certain fees for services that offer extra security when doing (international) business will change. For example, the fees we charge for a bank guarantee. However, the majority of Trade Finance fees will remain unchanged.
