Payment processing on public holidays
We know that doing business does not stop on public holidays. Also then, most credit transfers reach the recipient within a few seconds. Some payments take a little longer during the holidays. So it is good for you to know well in advance up to what date you can still get your payments processed.
This table shows when payments can be processed in 2026:

Before sending the payment order via the ABN AMRO app, Internet Banking and Access Online Renewed, you already see whether the money can reach the recipient's account immediately.
** Other credit transfers are debited from your account immediately, but will only be sent to the recipient’s bank the next working day.

If you need to make a payment before a public holiday
If you want to be certain that your payment order is processed before a public holiday, don’t leave it to the last minute. Send it well before the normal time and date given as the deadline.
Beware: for SEPA Direct Debit (both Core and B2B) different delivery deadlines are applicable during the holiday season.
