Do you have the financial statement verified by your external auditor? In that case, a Standard Bank Confirmation is needed. This confirmation provides an overview of your accounts and credit facilities with ABN AMRO and who is authorised to act on behalf of the company. From 1 September 2025, your accountant will be able to request this statement directly from the bank. Your accountant will use Confirmation for this purpose.

Request by your accountant

  1. Your accountant logs in to Confirmation.
  2. As a client, you will receive an email from your accountant, allowing you to give digital consent for the request. After processing, you will receive a copy by post. The fee for the standard bank confirmation remains unchanged. As an accountant, you will receive the standard bank confirmation via Confirmation.

Yes, all accountants affiliated with Confirmation will be informed about this.

Can my accountant request a standard bank confirmation directly from the bank without my company's consent?

No, that is not possible. An application will only be processed if your company has approved the application.

How can I request the standard bank confirmation if my accountant does not use Confirmation?

Until 1 September, you can use the existing application options via Internet Banking for Business or the application form. If your accountant is not affiliated with Confirmation after 1 September, the application can be submitted via the application form.

Will I still receive a copy of the standard bank confirmation if the application has been submitted by the accountant?

Yes, that remains unchanged. The accountant receives the original and the copy is sent to your company.

Does this change affect the rate?

No, the rate will not change.
