Loan application

Required documents and information

If you apply for a loan, we will need some information from you. The better you prepare your application, the sooner and faster we’ll be able to help you. Please find a list of the information we need below. If you are already a client, we will have some of the information on file. You can ask your contact person what we need in your particular situation.

Business plan (for new businesses)

If your business has been operating for less than a year, we need your business plan. This is where you explain why you set up your business. How do you intend to make money? Which threats and opportunities do you anticipate? And how will you deal with them?

Your business plan should include a minimum of:

  • Information about you as an entrepreneur
  • Your business form
  • Your registration with the Chamber of Commerce
  • An organisation chart of your business
  • The product or service that you provide
  • Your business formula
  • An analysis of your market, clients and suppliers

Supporting financial figures for your application

You can provide supporting financial figures for your application by compiling an operating budget for the next two years. An operating budget is similar to a profit and loss account, but with a view to the future. It is based on an estimate of both your costs and your profits.

Security

We may ask for security if you apply for loan. We use this as collateral to lower our risks. Examples of security are:

  • Mortgage registration for real estate
  • A pledge on company equipment
  • A pledge on stocks
  • A pledge on debtors

The type and amount of collateral required depends on your situation and the amount of the loan.

Articles of Association for a company

If you own a private or public limited company, we need to receive the Articles of Association. Articles of Association are statutory. They set out the company’s goals and regulations. A civil law notary draws up the Articles of Association, and the Chamber of Commerce registers them.
