You can view your credit card transactions, reverse payments and view your transaction history from up to one year ago.

What is Internet Banking?

ABN AMRO MeesPierson clients can use Internet Banking to manage their daily banking matters online, e.g. to transfer money, pay bills, deposit savings or to invest.

Who is it for?

For all ABN AMRO MeesPierson clients aged 18 years or older.

What do I need for Internet Banking?

If you want to use Internet Banking, you will need a computer with a reliable internet connection. Check the list of operating systems and browsers recommended by ABN AMRO MeesPierson.

Cookies 
In order to use Internet Banking properly, please make sure cookies are enabled in your browser for ABN AMRO MeesPierson.

Please note 
If your (minimum) system specifications do not meet the requirements stated in the terms and conditions, ABN AMRO MeesPierson will not be able to assist you with any technical problems you may experience.

How can I gain access?

You can easily apply for Internet Banking online. You will then receive a contractual agreement by mail within 5 business days. Once you returned the signed contract, you will receive your card reader (e.dentifier2) at home within 2 business days at the latest. You will then be able to use Internet Banking.

  • Access
    After signing up for Internet Banking, you will receive a special card reader (the e.dentifier2). You can use your debit card with your card reader to access your personal banking information online within the secure Internet Banking environment (so no passwords to remember).

You can use any ABN AMRO card registered under your name to access Internet Banking. 

You automatically have access to all ABN AMRO accounts registered under your name (you will not need separate authorisation for each separate account).

  • New card
    Did you receive a new card? After you have activated this new card, you can use it immediately to access Internet Banking. Enter your new card number when logging in. Instructions for activating your new card are outlined in the letter enclosed with your new card.
Fees

If you are a private customer of ABN AMRO MeesPierson, Internet Banking and your first e.dentifier (card reader) are free of charge. Are you a business client? Then read the information regarding Internet Banking for Business.

How much money can I transfer?

If you are a private customer, you will be able to transfer the following amounts per day:

Up to € 250,000 for domestic transactions and transactions in SEPA countries.

Up to € 50,000 for foreign transactions (outside SEPA countries). Alternative rules apply for business customers. For more information, please visit the web pages regarding Internet Banking for Business.

How soon will the money be transferred to another account?

Transfer to an ABN AMRO account 
If you are transferring funds to another ABN AMRO MeesPierson account, the transaction will be processed immediately.

Transfer to a non-ABN AMRO bank account in The Netherlands 
Before 12 pm (noon): the same working day to another bank. 
After 12 pm (noon): no later than the next working day.

It may take about 2 to 3 working days before the receiver of the transferred funds can view the transaction.

Transactions to a non-ABN AMRO bank account outside The Netherlands 
Next day service for Euros and for the currencies of Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein. Currency exchanges for other currencies will take two days longer.

How do I set authorisation levels?

You can manage all authorisation levels for Internet Banking easily and quickly in the ‘manage authorisation’ menu. You can manage the authorisation levels for each user and each account. Of course, it is also possible to deny access to accounts.

The following authorisation options are available: 

  • In 'view accounts overview' the user can view and download details of the relevant accounts.
  • In 'create transaction' the user can create new payments for transfer. However, the user is not able to carry out the transaction.
  • In 'send' you can set the limit for the amount which the user may send per type of transaction and authorise particular users to send transactions. This feature will also allow you to set up the 'co-signature' function. This will allow users to jointly send transactions up to the stated bank limit.”

ABN AMRO MeesPierson strives to make Internet Banking as safe as possible. Unfortunately, however, viruses and hackers constantly compromise the security of the internet in general.
