If you are going to have a meeting through Video Banking, read on for more information on how to start the meeting using Microsoft Teams.

How it works

Download the mobile Microsoft Teams app

Go to Videobanking

One hour before your appointment, you will receive an email from us explaining how to start the meeting.

Enter the meeting number

The meeting number can be found in the email. The conversation opens in Microsoft Teams.

How do I know whether I can use Microsoft Teams on my smartphone or tablet?

You can use Microsoft Teams on a smartphone or tablet using:

  • Android
  • iOS (Apple)

Can I use Microsoft Teams without a Microsoft account?

Yes, you can. You will participate as a guest automatically.

I can't install Microsoft Teams on my Android device. What do I need to do?

To join a Video Banking meeting on your smartphone or tablet, you need to install Microsoft Teams.

You can also join a Video Banking meeting on your computer or laptop. If you use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari as a browser, you do not need to install Microsoft Teams.

Can I have a Video Banking meeting through a mobile network?

We recommend that you use a WiFi network as this provides a more stable video connection. If this is not an option, you can also join a Video Banking meeting through a 4G mobile network.

How do I check that my camera and microphone are working properly?

You can check that your camera and microphone are working properly using this test meeting.

NB: this is not the Video Banking meeting. You will not be collected from the lobby by an adviser.

The adviser cannot see or hear me. What do I need to do?

When you open the app for the first time, you will be asked to give permission to use sound and video.

If you can't see or hear the adviser, try to contact them through the chat.

I'm having trouble starting the appointment. What do I need to do?

When your appointment is due to begin, we check whether you’re in the Video Banking environment. If you have not joined yet, the adviser will contact you on your telephone number. 

Make sure you check your contact details in the ABN AMRO app or on Internet Banking.

Can I access Video Banking on my computer or laptop?
