ZealiD

A qualified electronic signature is the most reliable electronic signature. This is an electronic signature with a qualified certificate that has been created on a qualified device such as a smartphone. The certificate is part of a digital code that senders add to their message. These certificates are issued only by special organisations such as ZealiD.

You can use ZealiD if you are at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid ID from one of these countries.

Signing using ZealiD is required when:

• A qualified digital signature is required for the documents concerned, or 
• you or one of the co-signatories does not have, or does not yet have, access to Internet Banking and you cannot identify yourself with iDIN.

Download the ZealiD app from the App Store or the Play Store. When you open the application for the first time, you will go through the registration process. In order to complete the registration process you will need:

• A mobile phone with Touch ID or Face ID 
• A valid identity document (an ID card, a passport, or a residence permit) 

• You share with ZealiD only the data it needs to verify your identity.
• We do a twofold check on your identity. It goes without saying that we will never share information on your finances.

ZealiD is a Qualified Trusted Service provider. This means that it complies with strict European regulations. It uses the best available technology to protect your data. 

ZealiD uses widely accepted standards such as Oauth2, PKI, TLS and 2FA authentication.
