SEPA transfer

A SEPA transfer enables you to make euro payments within all 32 countries that participate in the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA). Equal to making a payment within the Netherlands, it is just as convenient.

As of January 28, 2008 SEPA transfers can be made to the following participating banks (PDF in Dutch). This list also provides the BIC code of all banks that are ready for SEPA transactions.

International Bank Account Number

When initiating a SEPA payment, the beneficiary’s IBAN and BIC are always required. These data are usually indicated on the invoice.

Your own IBAN and BIC are displayed on both your bank statements and in the Internet Banking and Access Online contract data.

Costs

Transaction fees for a SEPA transfer are the same as those for a domestic payment (in Dutch).

How does it work?
  • A SEPA transfer is a standard transfer in euros from a euro current account (it is not an urgent transfer)
  • The IBAN and BIC are required
  • The processing time is a maximum of 3 business days
  • The full amount will be transferred; no costs will be deducted
  • Costs will be charged separately to the two parties involved

  • Payment scheduling up to 364 days in advance using Internet Banking and up to 90 days in advance using Access Online.
