We hope it will never happen to you, but you might be unlucky and lose your wallet with your bank cards, your passport and other valuable documents. All you need to do is make one quick phone call to ABN AMRO’s Stand-By Service.
The Stand-By Service offers you:
- Immediate blocking bank and credit cards after theft or loss and free reordering of new cards
- Locking of your mobile phone
- Immediate financial help in the event of emergencies
- Registration of important documents, such as your passport number, bank cards and driver's license
- Reminder service for when your identity documents expire.
Immediate help in the event of loss or theft
The Stand-By Service provides help if objects that you can’t do without, such as your bank card, credit card, passport or mobile phone, are lost or stolen. It only takes one phone call to cancel all your cards and order new copies. With a single phone call you can also lock your mobile phone. If the loss or theft of your cards leaves you without any cash, the Stand-By Service can arrange for an advance to be sent to you. The Stand-By Service emergency number is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Reminder Service
You can register your own and your family’s passports, driving licences and similar documents with the
Stand-By Service. If you specify when your identity documents need to be renewed, we will send you a timely reminder. You can also register other important numbers such as membership cards or warranty certificates. Once a year we will send you a statement of the details you have registered with the Stand-By Service.

When you subscribe to the Stand-By Service in combination with a Personal Package, Young Professional Package or Student Package you get a 33% discount on the annual cost for the Stand-By Service. If you subscribe for a
Prestige Package, the Stand-By Service is free of charge.
