Easy payments when shopping online

You can easily pay for your online purchases with your credit card and a personal code. The MasterCard SecureCode is your personal password that protects your credit card against misuse online. You will be asked to use this code more and more often when shopping online.

If you wish to purchase something from an online store that is not affiliated with MasterCard SecureCode, you can simply pay using your credit card in the same way as usual.

How it works?

1. The first time you wish to make a purchase using the SecureCode, a screen will appear asking you to register. This is a one-off procedure. You will need to select a code that will then be used as your password, so be sure to keep the code secret.
2. Once your password has been registered, it will be recognised by all online shops that support the SecureCode. The on-screen logo displayed after you have entered your credit card number during the purchase will show you whether a store is affiliated with MasterCard SecureCode.
3. For every subsequent purchase you make, a screen will automatically appear asking you to enter your password. In entering your password, you are confirming the purchase.
